This smooth and mild Sencha green tea comes from the Anhui Province in China. A sweet and mellow decaffeinated tea, it produces a golden infusion with a vegetal aroma and mellow notes of toasted rice and jasmine. This tea is decaffeinated using the CO2 process. CO2 decaffeination, developed in Germany as an alternative to the commonly used ethyl acetate process, helps to maintain the subtleties of this tea’s unique flavor profile. If you’re looking for a decaffeinated tea with all the crisp, classic flavor of a traditional Sencha, you’ve met your match.
This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags. Our decaf teas are fine cut and some tea accessories may not be appropriate. Tattle Tea recommends using tea filters for this variety of tea.
