This popular flavored tea blend has its roots in 1830s Great Britain. As the legend goes, the British Prime Minister Earl Grey II had rescued the young son of a Chinese Mandarin from drowning (or the son of an Indian Rajah from a tiger, depending on who’s telling the story). The grateful father brought him a gift of blended Indian and Ceylon teas flavored with oil of bergamot, extracted from the rind of bergamot oranges.
Our Organic CO2 Decaf Green Earl Grey tea contains decaffeinated green tea from the Anhui Province in China and real, imported Italian organic bergamot oil. Developed in Germany as an alternative to the use of ethyl acetate process, CO2 decaffeination allows the teas to retain more of the unique flavors of premium caffeinated teas. This selection is a paragon of its kind, featuring a silkier, more refined touch of bergamot. One thing is for sure: this is real Earl Grey tea for real Earl Grey fans.
This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

- “I know the taste of a good green tea and this taste nothing like green tea to me. The tea leaves are dark brown with a few green leaves scattered throughout. It tastes like black tea to me. I am not a fan of black tea.”
- “PLEASE bring this back to stock- BEST Earl Grey Green I have ever tasted- better than the non-decaf version sold by Tattle Tea. Bold, very nice bergamot flavor. My current favorite. ”
