This semi-fermented tea has large curled leaves that are greenish-black in color. Grown in the Southern Mountains of China’s Fujian Province, it produces a lively infusion with a very pleasing taste.
The tea falls between a green tea and a black tea, as it is only partially oxidized (fermented). Its flavor is uniquely its own – neither as sweet as a black tea nor as grassy as a green tea. The Chinese word “oolong” means “black dragon.”
This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

- “A review field. I've been ordering this sechung oolong for at least 7 years. And for 7 years it has been consistantly fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the flavored teas but also loved the Acai which is no longer available. Just don't use brew too hot or too long so as not to get it bitter and behold, the tea that leaves you with the BIG ahhh. My all time favorite.”
- “I have tried many oolong teas and this is by far the best. There is a great balance between green and black. There is no grassy taste. It's great on its own. ”
- “A strong oolong that's closer to black tea than green tea. It's bold and tasty and has a lot of pep. Best hot with nothing in it. Don't forget to resteep your oolong.”
