Product Description

Our Assam black tea is grown in the Dhoedaam Estate of Assam in India. Assam is the world’s most abundant tea-growing region. This tea creates a thick, strong, and malty brew with a deep reddish-brown liquor. A bold single-origin tea, Assam is a dominant flavor in many “breakfast” tea blends.

This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

A good tea at a great price

“I can't remember when I first started drinking Assam tea: I think it about forty or fifty years ago. At the time, I was a teenager in India. When I left India, I continued to drink this tea, when I could obtain it—it has always been a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the quality of the tea obtainable in most places is far inferior to what is obtainable in India. This tea is the closest I have yet come to what the tea is like in India. Tattle tea is very prompt in its delivery, and the price is very reasonable.”
